Exploitation Records is the record label arm of Springbok Productions, dedicated to releasing singles, albums and videos of the artists on its roster. It started in 1998 as the vanity label for Nirvana, then under a five-album deal with Atlantic Records, but became fully independent in 2001, and sought to recruit other artists across the different genres. It has signed many notable grunge rock, hard rock, album-oriented rock, singer-songwriter, pop, country, hip-hop and theatrical stage singer artists to its ranks over the years. It is also known for releasing cast recording albums of various Broadway musicals Springbok has produced.

In 1998, when Nirvana decided not to re-sign with the DGC Records imprint of Geffen Records and chose instead to sign a five-album deal with Atlantic, the band formed Exploitation Records as a vanity label to administrate the albums released under this deal, as well as the first remastering of the band's DGC discography.

After fulfilling the Atlantic contract in 2001, Exploitation Records became the record label of Springbok Productions, and started signing up other artists en masse.

In 2004, Exploitation bought the Sh-K-Boom Records and Ghostlight Records imprints from its founder, Broadway actress Sherie Rene Scott, and added their releases to its catalog for remastering. Exploitation also bought Compendia Music Group and its assets that year for $10 million. Exploitation also signed a deal to remaster the full discography of Oingo Boingo as well as purchasing the rights to the albums of Warren Zevon released between 1976 and 1995 from Universal Music Group.

In 2010, Exploitation bought the catalog and assets of Artemis Records and began remastering its catalog, including the final three albums of Zevon's lifetime, released by that label. Exploitation also purchased the administration and distribution rights for the discography of Jimi Hendrix in conjunction with the family-owned estate representation company Experience Hendrix LLC.

In 2019, Exploitation bought So So Def Recordings and began remastering its catalog.
